The Children’s Burrow welcomes children ages three (by 9/1/2023) through five.
Since most of our day is spent outdoors in open spaces, children need to:
Be out of diapers and pull-ups and be able to handle toileting primarily independently
Be past the stage of putting things randomly into their mouths
Be able to follow verbal directions
Stay with the group
* Families do not need to be members of Tyler Arboretum to enroll their children.
-
Please send your child every day with a backpack containing a FULL water bottle, a packed lunch, and extra clothing LABELED with your child’s name (underwear, socks, shirt, pants or shorts, mittens and hat for cold days).
* If you would like your child to use sunscreen and/or bug spray, please apply it at home before arrival.
* Please leave toys and lovies at home. Children are welcome to bring treasures they find in nature or artwork from home to share with us.

Your child needs clothing that is comfortable and allows them to move freely. Active learning can mean jumping in puddles, making mud cakes, working in the garden, and much more. Engaging in these activities is central to children’s experience at The Children’s Burrow, and families should expect that their children will get wet, muddy, and dirty.
